We built Chey.in because we believe curious children become capable adults — and curiosity is cultivated, not just inherited. Every product we make is designed to nurture it.
Children are spending more time on screens than ever — but most of that time is passive consumption. They watch, scroll, and forget. The information doesn't stick, the skills don't grow, and the curiosity slowly fades.
Traditional education hasn't caught up. Textbooks, memorisation, and examinations measure recall — not understanding, not creativity, not the ability to think through novel problems.
Every Chey.in product is designed around the science of how people actually learn — through doing, questioning, exploring, and applying. Not through reading the same paragraph twice.
We build tools that meet children where they are — on their devices, at their kitchen table, preparing for their exams — and make the active learning approach feel natural, not like extra work.
Before comprehension, before retention, before exam scores — we want children to feel that learning is inherently interesting. That feeling, once cultivated, lasts a lifetime.
Every product decision is grounded in cognitive science. Spaced repetition, multi-sensory engagement, gamification, retrieval practice — we don't guess about what works.
Ad-free, curated, age-appropriate. Parents and teachers should be able to trust our platform completely — no exceptions, no "but it's just ads".
Our products span ages 3 to adult. The skills and habits we help build in childhood should carry learners through their entire lives — not just to the next exam.
Quality education shouldn't depend on geography or income. LearnChey is free. StudyChey is affordable. We build for India, in all its diversity.
The best outcomes happen when parents and teachers work with the same tools and the same language. We build products that serve both.
The brain encodes information more deeply when multiple senses are engaged. Reading, watching, playing, and testing all activate different neural pathways — each reinforcing the others.
Reviewing material at increasing intervals is the most efficient way to move information from short-term to long-term memory. StudyChey's weekly cadence is built around this principle.
Testing yourself — not just reviewing notes — dramatically improves retention. ScoreChey turns this from a chore into a habit with instant, satisfying feedback loops.
External rewards (grades, prizes) work short-term. Intrinsic motivation — genuine curiosity, the satisfaction of mastery, the joy of discovery — is what sustains learning over a lifetime. Every Chey.in product is designed to cultivate this: games that are genuinely fun, magazines genuinely fascinating, courses genuinely worth watching. Learning that doesn't feel like learning.
Real understanding comes from connecting new information to what you already know. Our products bridge academic subjects to real-world contexts deliberately.
"I've spent 17 years building technology products. The most important thing I've learned is that the tools we give children shape how they think — for life. Chey.in is my answer to that responsibility."
Praveen is a hands-on engineering leader from Hyderabad with over 17 years of experience building and scaling products across healthcare, edtech, and enterprise software. He has led engineering teams of 50+ while continuing to ship code himself — in Ruby, Node, React, Java, and PHP.
His previous projects include SpeechMine, a spoken English training platform using speech recognition, and vdoDr, a video consultation platform for healthcare specialists. Both were driven by the same instinct: technology should solve real problems for real people.
Chey.in is his most personal project yet — a direct response to seeing children consume technology passively, without curiosity or depth. He is building it to prove that the gap between great tech and meaningful education doesn't have to exist.
